The Magic Knight African Violet Society (MKAVS) was established as a club in San Antonio in May of 1975, with the purpose of promoting the enjoyment of African violets and other gesneriads in San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country. It is an educational chapter of the AVSA, and as such, the club has extensive resources at its disposal. It teaches care of violets, biology, troubleshooting pests and other plant problems, propagation, and simply the love of these beautiful flowers.
At this time, the MKAVS meets on the first Monday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Patrick Heath Public Library in Boerne.
